A beginning.

So I'm new to this whole "blog" scene.
To begin, I don't lead an extraordinary life nor do I have an interesting career. I'm just an average student, living in an average home, with average friends and an average family. It's the little things, however, that make my life enjoyable. It's finding a way to use the word 'lackadaisical' in the answer to a multiple choice question. It's being at the top of the stands for one last football game. It's running a red light with 4 gullible teenagers in the backseat of my car. That's what makes my day. The little things.
I have bad days, (lately more often than usual) but a lot of the times I like to focus on the good things that happen throughout my day, and I find myself enjoying everything more. I remember back in 8th grade, my best friend Jen and I, had what we called "the notebook", where we wrote down all the funny and ridiculous things that happened throughout the day. Looking back on it, I find things that people said that I would've never remembered, or I'm reminded of stupid situations that once brought me to tears from laughter. These moments are what got me through the school day, and even through my middle school career. Alright, I've got about 6 months left in high school, so why spend it complaining about how everything just sucks?
Basically, this won't be my complaining blog...it'll be a place to talk about the quirks of my day, the things that made me smile, or even the random things I found interest in. Don't get me wrong, I'll rant, because ranting is what I do best, but I want to focus more on the positives.
A good friend of mine once said that,"[blogging] is really a nice way to steam, and let some creative juices flow."
And since I love to write, I decided to pick this up. And since I want to remember what's going on in my life, I decided to pick this up. And since I spend entirely too much time on the internet, I decided to pick this up.
So go ahead and enjoy, my sanguine expectations.
